Harold Boeck is a full professor of marketing at the business faculty of the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) and a regular MBA guest professor at the La Rochelle Business School (France) and the SGH Warsaw School of Economics (Poland). He has also taught at the CREA Genève (Switzerland), the Paris Business School (France), the Université de Sherbrooke (Canada), the École Polytechnique (Canada), and the École des Hautes études commerciales (Canada). Specialized in Marketing Innovations, Marketing Technology, and especially Internet Marketing, he holds a Ph.D from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and publishes his research in international peer-reviewed journals such as Technovation, Journal of Medical Systems, Ethics and Information Technology, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing. He counts more than 20 years experience in Digital Marketing. He is a member of the Global Online Marketing Academics (GOMA), a founding professor of the Global Online Marketing Academic Challenge (GOMAC), and a member of the Academic Panel for Google’s Online Marketing Challenge. Dr. Boeck has been involved with RFID since 2003. He has given over 35 presentations at RFID Journal Live, collaborated on Google’s NFC mobile payment application and significantly contributed to the GS1 Knowledge Center. Very involved in the community and in academic life, he founded the first Canadian chapter of the RFID Tribe; has been a judge at the prestigious RFID Journal Awards every year since 2008. He is passionate about helping students achieve more. They were Global Winners in the Google Online Marketing Challenge (2016 GOMC) as well as in several other student competitions. He enjoys working with non-profit organizations because they are passionate about changing the world. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Caisse populaire Trillium, a local credit union which has 26,500 members and $2.1 billion in managed assets.
