As a member of the Senior Executive Leadership of United Therapeutics Corporation, I provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the global information technology (IT) program. I support the Finance, HR, R&D, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing and various business units in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. Additionally, I provide strategic and tactical planning, budget development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for the corporation. I facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within (and outside) the organization. I oversee the back office computer operations of all management information systems, including remote user's workspaces, local area networks and wide-area networks. I am responsible for the management of multiple information and communications solutions, including voice, data, video, imaging, office automation (unified communications) and various social networking virtual platforms. I design, implement, and evaluate the systems that support end-users in the productive use of computing devices and software. I am responsible for the Information Security & Data Governance programs as well as a senior partner of the Risk Council tasked with Business Continuity responsibilities.Shola communicates clearly, executes fast, thinks creatively, and acts with courage.
