As president and CEO of UL, I bring my passion for science, technology, engineering and math to work every day, advancing UL’s leadership as a trusted partner and driving confidence in the next generation of innovation. Prior to UL, I served as president and CEO of USG Corporation, a manufacturer of innovative building products. I led the company through a major international expansion, digital transformation, and sustainable products evolution, enhancing its ability to meet customer needs. I am a fierce advocate for STEM education and increasing diversity in the science, technology, engineering and math fields. Greater diversity in STEM means bringing more ideas and perspectives to the table and improving our ability to fully understand and meet the needs of a diverse stakeholder base. Beyond UL, I sit on the board of Norfolk Southern Corporation, serve as the chair of the Commercial Club of Chicago and vice chair of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. I am also a trustee for The University of Notre Dame and an advisor to The University of Chicago. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with dual degrees in government and computer applications and received a Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
