Retired
I am currently retired. I am considering looking to do some consulting in the late fall and winter. I started the Biomedical Engineering Department for Binghamton General Hospital and moved into managing a very capable Biomedical Engineering Department for United Health Services after the merger. It grew into a group of 14 technicians that handled most of the medical equipment. For the last 25 years I also started and managed the Telecommunications Department. The Telecommunications department is responsible for close to 5,000 lines. We have been growing and changing technologies. We now have 5,000 Nortel IP lines and we are developing plans to move to ShoreTel. We already have 2,000 lines on the ShoreTel system. When we finish the transition we will have close to 7,000 supported lines on the ShoreTel system. We currently use ShoreTel and Nortel for Contact Center (ACD) needs. Our use of the ShoreTel Contact Center will continue to grow.. We maintain 4 different vendor voice recording systems, 3 different conferencing systems, and a variety of UPS devices. The cabling crew installs about 250,000 feet of cable a year for both phone and data as we continue to grow and modify our installations. We continue to use SPOK Xtend consoles for our hospital switchboards. We are also using SPOK for our On-line Directory, group paging, and for Answering Service needs. Specialties: CBET
