Dan Sommer is the Founder and CEO of Trilogy Education Services, a Continuing Education Program Manager (CEPM) that empowers universities to unlock each student’s career potential through skills-based programs. Under Dan’s leadership, the company has grown to over 25 University partners including UC Berkeley, Northwestern and UNC Chapel Hill in 30+ locations nationally and over 300 employees. Prior to founding Trilogy, Dan served as Zeta’s President of Global Education where he led the company’s growth and expansion within the education sector, integrated strategic acquisitions and quadrupled revenue in a 12 month period through portfolio and client expansion. While at Zeta, Dan served as President of Interactive and President of International, tripling revenue in each unit. Dan also identified and led the successful integration of Zeta Interactive into the company’s portfolio, a deal that transformed Zeta into an industry leading marketing technology company. Prior to Zeta, Dan served as CEO and Chairman of Study Interactive an Innovative International 'School as a Service'​ provider that partners with International Universities to bring their programs online and to students in 153 countries. Dan’s previous entrepreneurial successes include Zustek Corporation, one of the earliest email service providers (Acquired by Zeta Interactive), where Dan served as a Founding Executive, and Founder and CEO of social media marketing firm Caridan Marketing Labs which was acquired in 2010 by XL Marketing. He began his career at top digital agencies, Digitas and Sapient.Dan is a graduate of Cornell University and remains an active alumni. He led the creation and development of Student Agencies eLab, an accelerator serving high potential Cornell University entrepreneurs.
