I believe that you cannot achieve net new SaaS or PaaS business and build relationships for retention and renewals without people. By curating a robust compensation plan, culture, processes, and clear performance indicators, teams will surprise themselves and overachieve. This has become even more clear and important during the post-COVID business environment. The “golden rule” of treating others how YOU want to be treated is a thing of the past! As a friend once shared, it’s about the “platinum rule” which is to treat others how THEY want to be treated. Empathy is the magic that drives revenue! My industry focus and interests ultimately lie between the intersection of entrepreneurship and relationships. While leading in closed/won revenue that allowed for the acquisition of a company, I became well versed in account-based selling including “honing in the pitch” with a focus on value. Ensuring a predictable pipeline includes an accountable sales process with an emphasis on informing, educating, promoting, and defending the prospect and/or customer. Strategic operational, technology and educational partnerships are also the cornerstone of most SaaS and/or PaaS businesses.
