I am a results-driven digital media manager with over 15 years of experience in media.I formed Word Riot, an online literary magazine and small press, at 19. The site was regarded as a premier online literary journal, and our books received accolades from O Magazine, Publishers Weekly and Nylon Magazine, among others.I began my journalism career as a freelance writer for The Courier in Middletown in January 2004. I subsequently took a reporter position at the paper, covering 12 towns in Monmouth Countys Bayshore. I was promoted to associate editor and later rebuilt the newspapers website.I became a producer at NJ.com in March 2006 and worked with our newspaper partners on search engine optimization, social media and community engagement initiatives. I built and maintained over 500 social media accounts.I joined Patch.com as the local editor of Freehold Patch, where I was able to combine my entrepreneurial spirit with my passion for community journalism and social media engagement. I was promoted to associate regional editor in August 2011 and regional editor in March 2013 for the Central Jersey Patch sites.
