I've worked for over 25 years in the heavy equipment industry - the first 7 on the wholesale/manufacturing side, the last 19 (as of 2022) on the retail/dealer side at Titan Machinery. Growing up on a farm running equipment gave me a healthy appreciation of farmers and the incredible job they do keeping our country (and a healthy share of the rest of the world) fed. It also taught me the value of working hard, being dependable, and staying focused on the tasks at hand. In my current role as Marketing Director for Titan Machinery I lead a department of talented and hard-working marketing professionals that are creating industry-leading advertising and promotional campaigns for one of the largest agricultural and construction dealer complexes in the U.S. The people that I work with are the best - every day I learn something new from them and I'm grateful for the energy and professionalism they bring to the office every day. According to Clifton's Strength Finder, my strength's are: Learner, Achiever, Analytical, Intellection and Responsibility. What does that mean? It means I like to think, I'm always looking for new and better ways to accomplish our goals at work, I draw a lot of motivation and satisfaction from completing tasks, and I love the numbers and analytics of the business. The love of numbers and spreadsheets and budgeting have been a huge help in today's marketing environment where it's a lot easier to quantify and track results - allowing me and the marketing team to allocate advertising and promotional resources to areas with the highest ROI. It's still marketing so the old adage that states "50% of our advertising is working, we just don't know which 50% it is" still rings true to a certain extent. But the digital tools that we find ourselves using more and more allow us to apply more objective criteria in determining where scarce marketing $$s and precious time resources are invested.
