I am a Software Engineer with experience ranging from writing low-level resource efficient solutions using modern C++, all the way up to working with higher level frameworks in Java to implement scalable stream processing systems that consume high volumes of data. I have experience leading a team to successfully deliver an entire product, taking part in all parts of the development life cycle: gathering requirements, designing the solution, organizing the work to be done, being heavily involved in its implementation, and validating that all pieces fit together. I enjoy writing code and have been involved in a couple of open source projects. Specifically, I co-authored libtins, an open source C++ network packet sniffing and crafting library that is used to power enterprise network monitoring solutions. I have also created cppkafka, a modern C++ wrapper over the official C driver for Apache Kafka (rdkafka) which is used in various large scale stream processing systems. I have recently become interested in the Rust programming language, and use it whenever possible for my personal projects.
