Opportunity can be achieved through many windows. The fact that now I write a summary of who I am and who I would like to become on the internet is a concept my grandfather's generation would have laughed at. I even look at it sometimes and think how unique the opportunities I have compare to previous generations. But what is an opportunity if you don't seize it? I believe that success isn't a random concoction. It's as Colin Powell put it, a combination of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. I am in a stage of the game where I want something tangible to work toward. I want something to prepare, and agonize over. Something to perfect through diligent work. I want my achievements to be a result of overcoming challenge time and time again only to come out on the other side with an incredible representation of patience and hard work proudly displaying my newly found success. My name is Devin Dishner. I am a college student passionate about Public Relations and all that goes into communicating positive images to whomever utilizes my abilities. Complimenting my studies in PR, I am minoring in Journalism as well as Marketing so I can wet my feet in as many areas as possible. I want to be the best PR representative there ever was, and I don't shy away from hard work in order to achieve that goal. I am currently using my skills in the athletic department of UCA where I assist the director of media relations. I also work as a writer and anchor for UCA News 6, where I am growing as a communicator and niche writer. I am ready to go to work. If this summary represents a fraction of who I am, then I know that for you as a reader I have peaked some amount of interest.
