He is builder and leader of high quality multi-functional and multi-cultural teams. As COO of The Floow David is now leading the operational growth of a new innovative tech based organisation rapidly penetrating the insurance telematics market place with a range of unique technology, data collection, analysis and feedback products and services. In this role David is developing strong relationships with some of the worlds leading insurers and consulting organisations. He led a team that over a 12 year period launched 500+ products across 40 markets in Europe, LatAm, the US, Asia and Australia. These products were designed to serve both consumer and commercial customers delivered through the most appropriate channels including face to face, branch based sales, telemarketing and digitally. Annually in excess of 1.5MM policies were sold across the business. In 2007 David took the interim role of MD of GE Capital's insurance underwriting businesses in Australia. During this period he led the business successfully through a regulatory crisis, refreshed the independent board, rebuilt the management team and relaunched the product and distribution model. In order to establish a strong governance for insurance sales David also established a strong compliance framework across the business. David also represented the company with a number of regulators across the globe including ASIC and APRA in Australia, the Fed in the US and FSA in the UK.
