I've spent my career looking at difficult technical problems and coming up with strong technical solutions that change industries. When I brought Linux to the motion picture industry I showed that commodity workstations should perform the same tasks for a fraction of the price of the traditional hardware. When I wrote the first hardware accelerated 3D graphics support for Linux I opened it to supporting a variety of embedded solutions. Lately I've turned my eye towards changing the way content is created. I'm removing the physical boundaries, instead I'm letting creators around the world collaborate on content.I enjoy remaining deeply technical while providing strategic direction. It allows me to better understand the tasks my team is working on and work with my team to come up with solutions when hurdles get in the way. I focus on creating a quality product that meets the technical requirements, but is still a pleasure for customers to use. My customers appreciate that I can run a business, speak on their terms, and still deliver a product on time.
