From my earliest memories, I have always had a passion for analyzing information, solving problems and puzzles and interacting with people. Though in the early years these characteristics drove both my family and instructors a bit crazy, they now allow me to help scientists plan better research studies. I have worked in a variety of roles in my career at Taconic Biosciences including customer service, technical support and most recently product management. Product management roles here include the typical functions such as revenue and price planning, product training and portfolio management, however the position is much more dynamic as model use changes over time and there are some unique aspects of managing a living inventory. I love helping researchers find the perfect model for their study, creating content that aids scientists in selecting models and planning their studies and educating others on breeding and husbandry, animal model use and making the most of germ free models.
