In his role, he develops and executes the Sustainable Development 2030 Strategy, action and communication plans of the Company across its global operations in HK, Mainland China and U.S.A. He manages the development and publication of the Company’s annual sustainability report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative and ESG Reporting Guide of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He also manages the corporate disclosure to various global ESG indices and ratings, including DJSI, GRESB, MSCI, FTSE4GOOD and Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index. In 2022, Swire Properties topped the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index for the fifth consecutive year, receiving the highest total score among all index constituents, while also maintaining an “AAA” sustainability rating. The Company was also the only constituent from Hong Kong and Mainland China to be listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. Patrick is responsible for driving the corporate climate change strategy to facilitate the transition of the Company towards a net-zero pathway. He manages the works in the Science Based Targets, climate risk assessment on physical and transition risks, climate-related financial disclosures as per TCFD recommendations, and he also supports the Company’s green financing strategy including green bonds and sustainability-linked loans. Patrick has many years of consultancy and trainer experience on environmental management, corporate sustainability strategy development in HK and China. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
