I've held leadership positions with progressively increased responsibility for marketing, corporate communications, and brand strategy on the provider side of health care for nearly 20 years. Healthcare marcom is challenging, rewarding and ever-changing. Breaking through the noise and moving individuals to improve their health and commit to enhancing their quality of life fits my empathetic character. My experience includes launching a new heart hospital, introducing a regional cancer center, marketing innovative technology and developing new services. I’m currently serving as team lead in crafting/executing the rebranding of our 104-year old independent health system as a new division of UW Health (Madison). In addition to managing a talented team of marcom professionals, I've identified, developed and cultivated relationships with a network of trusted agency and production professionals across the country. We’ve collaborated on dozens of award-winning, market-moving campaigns for more than a decade. Through these relationships, I've been able to deliver national-caliber TV, radio and outdoor advertising to a local market. When I joined SwedishAmerican, it was solidly second in its market. Since then, I’ve helped orchestrate branding and marketing efforts to create a significant positive shift in consumer preference as well as realize record-setting market share. Today SwedishAmerican stands as the trusted leader in providing quality healthcare to our community. Prior to healthcare, I held editorial and marketing positions in newspapers and book publishing. Through these experiences, I became a solid planner who set and met deadlines, an efficient writer who dug deeper to tell the best story, and a strategic marketer who built strong connections with consumers.
