I have been in the Sewing Machine Industry since I was 16 years old when I started with the Singer Sewing Machine Company. I started as a mechanic, and progressed through various positions including assistant store manager, store manager, outside sales representative, service center manager, until I opened my own dealership in Tempe, Arizona in 1978. Subsequently I opened other retail locations in the greater Phoenix area. We eventually grew to 9 locations and then in 1998, we merged all our stores with VSM Sewing Inc. I went to work for them on 04-01-1998 and have had various positions with them while we opened up Viking Sewing Galleries across the United States. I live in Smyrna, Tennessee which is near the headquarters located in LaVergne, TN.
