Profile Matt specializes in business enterprise and intangible asset valuation and complex financial modeling for public and private entities. Matt has worked on a variety of types of engagements including pre-deal strategic modeling and asset value analyses, purchase price allocations, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment testing, tax restructuring, estate and gift tax analyses and fairness opinions. Matt has designed and developed detailed financial models for pre-deal scenario analyses, real estate portfolio structuring and for various financial reporting and tax related analyses. Matt has diverse experience from regional middle-market businesses to multi-billion dollar international enterprises, in a broad range of industries. Specific Experience Matt has performed pre- and post-deal valuation engagements for management planning and tax purposes. Matt has performed and reviewed multiple purchase price allocations in varying industries including asset and stock purchases, “bargain” purchases, and less-than-100% transactions. Matt has provided valuations of customer and supplier relationships / platforms, trade names / trademarks, software, technology and other intellectual property across a broad range of industries, in-process research and development, non-competition agreements and various other intangible assets. Matt has provided valuation support for expert witnesses in litigation engagements and has performed shareholder dispute valuation engagements. Matt has provided entity and asset valuations as part of internal tax restructuring engagements (both domestic and internationally). Matt has performed and reviewed multiple "fresh-start" analyses.
