Jason Ellis joined Spring Mobile in April of 2001 as a founding partner and the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2006, Ellis was promoted to CEO of Spring Retail Group, the parent company for Spring Mobile and its sister companies, Simply Mac and Gadget Guard. In 2013 Jason led the banking process that resulted in the successful sale of Simply Mac and Spring Mobile to GameStop (NYSE: GME). Jason is currently the President of the Technology Brands Division of GameStop. The division is technology retail focused and includes over 1500 retail outlets under the AT&T, Cricket and Simply Mac brands. Under Jason's leadership, Spring Mobile has become America's largest wireless dealer, completing over 35 independent acquisitions, deploying over $700M in capital and consolidating over 7,000 employees into one team and culture. The division is approaching nearly $1B in annual revenues and remains headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT. Jason holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Utah and an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.
