Founded in 1881, Spelman College is a highly selective, liberal arts college widely recognized as the global leader in the education of women of African descent. A creative, ambitious and experienced strategist with over 25 years of successful planning and leading Internet marketing best practices. As the Director of Interactive Communications with Spelman College, I oversee the implementation, vision and strategic goals for Spelman's online activities including, site development and interactive content for Spelman.edu. Additionally, serve as the technical project lead for the emergency communication system, Spelman ALERT, spelman.edu/alert. With an entrepreneurial mindset, achieving success both as a business owner and leader at a historic Black college, I have authored several Internet sites supporting industries as education, entertainment (art, music, film), and non-profits. An avid traveler, I have found a home online. Whether helping a college president post her first tweet or a young, budding entrepreneur with his first website, I enjoy sharing digital trends in fun and exciting ways. I have a Master of Business Administration degree, with an information systems concentration, from Auburn University Montgomery and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Alabama State University.
