As Vice President of Strategy & Planning at SoundHound, Kamyar is responsible for developing operation and expansion strategies, as well as evaluating and forming business partnerships. He is also responsible for developing SoundHound’s intellectual property strategy, including the identification and protection of the numerous inventions and innovations developed by the company. Prior to joining SoundHound, Kamyar practiced corporate and commercial law in Toronto, Canada, where he worked on complex commercial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, share and asset purchases and sales, corporate financing, and security agreements. He received bachelor’s degrees in computer science and music from York University, Toronto, completed his graduate education in law at Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto, and earned an MBA. from Schulich School of Business, Toronto.
