Established in 1847, SCG serves approximately 190,000 residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the greater New Haven and Bridgeport areas of Connecticut. CNG, established in 1848, serves approximately 170,000 residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the greater Hartford-New Britain area, and Greenwich, Connecticut.

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company (SCG) is a subsidiary of UIL Holdings Corporation. In my 20+ years at SCG, I have gained a vast amount of experience in the industry. I began my career at SCG in 1993. After being hired, I immediately recognized the countless opportunities that I had in front of me. I have worked extremely hard to progress throughout the company. I continue to be rewarded for my hard work and dedication over the years. The positions that I have held are, Restoration Supervisor Operations and Maintenance, Construction Supervisor Operations and Maintenance, Facility Inspector CBYD, C Technician, Apprentice Helper, Customer Service Representative, Liquid Natural Gas Technician and Meter Reader.
