To improve is to change; to perfect is to change often. My passion is building strong, successful teams who push the boundaries of technology and the status quo; who feel empowered, enabled, and challenged; and who have as much to teach me as I have to teach them. I am looking for a role where I can make a significant impact on the business, from building a successful team to helping to define future iterations of the product. Prior to working at Yahoo, I worked in two different agency environments: Bulldog Creative Services and Wall Street on Demand. Both of these experiences instilled a passion in me for developing the best user experiences possible, including the challenges of making difficult concepts -- such as financial data -- easily consumable at a glance. By the time I joined Yahoo as a senior engineer, I had already gained experience building and leading teams, and I quickly became the manager of our Denver engineering team bringing user-generated content into the network of properties. After relocating to Sunnyvale, I built a team from 2 to 16 in under two years, expanding our content acquisition efforts to Yahoo's partners. Finally, in the summer of 2015, I identified a series of logistical issues that was preventing Yahoo from integrating with Tumblr, and I proposed starting a satellite Tumblr office within Yahoo's walls in Sunnyvale. My existing team and I have extended our charter to improving Tumblr's Monetization and Ad Products, including integrating with Yahoo's ad serving technology.
