I am currently employed with Silgan Plastics Canada Inc. I have recently been promoted to Plant Engineer at the Scarborough Facility. As a Project Engineer , I have participated in many projects including but not exclusive to IT infrastructure expansion, Process Data Acquisition implementation, Automation improvements and Production Cell Recapitalizations. I was a core Project Manager on the largest Production Cell Recapitalization at Silgan Plastics Scarborough with a budget in excess of $10 million. I started with Silgan Plastics Canada Inc., in September 2000 as the administrator of the Preventive Maintenance Program working under the Plant Engineer. As my knowledge grew within the Plastics industry, so did my responsibilities. In addition to my Project Management duties I am also responsible for the operation of utilities at the Scarborough Facility including electrical service maintenance, compressed Air operations and maintenance and water systems operation and maintenance. I started my career in the entertainment industry as a Production Manager, Stage Manager and Technical Director. I managed productions with casts and crews that exceeded one hundred people. I was able to take the fundamentals of managing theatre productions and apply them in my current job. My background provides me with a unique understanding of resource and timeline management along with the capability of leading groups to achieve goals. I have experience in Gantt chart preparation along with RFQ development and hands-on project management through the planning phases to final commission and qualification. I am a hard worker who believes in expanding his horizons and taking advantage of opportunities within the workplace. I believe that my experience and enthusiasm is my greatest asset I have been described as being passionate about my job.
