Life sciences professional with more than 15 years of experience in product development ranging from R&D to commercialization, corporate strategy and business development in pharma, biotech and public health. Marianna joined SIGA as Head of Business Development & Corporate Strategy in 2019 working directly with the CEO and CFO to develop growth strategy for the company and execute through partnerships and acquisitions. Previously, she was Director in the Pharma & Life Sciences Management Consulting Practice at PwC, where she led business transformations for leading pharmaceutical companies and public health organizations ranging from product and portfolio strategies, governance and operating models to opportunity evaluation, partnerships, and M&A. Marianna led product and business development for gene therapies at BioVex, and conducted research on gene silencing for neurological disorders and optimization of oncolytic viral immunotherapy. Marianna holds a Ph.D. in Immunology & Molecular Pathology from University College London, and an M.B.A. from Hult International Business School. Her experience spans across continents including the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and China.
