Michael Karpik, Vice President , Sales for Jameson Commercial Real Estate, is a seasoned veteran. Prior to joining Jameson, Michael developed extensive experience in retail operations, management and merchandising as President of Bigsby & Kruthers, The Knot Shops and operation responsibility for the retail store at the Michael Jordan restaurant. As President/CEO of Chernin’s Shoe Zone, Michael was responsible for re-opening the nine store chain in Illinois and Michigan in a successful turnaround situation. Michael’s previous experience as a real estate broker was at Atlas Partners and Zifkin Real Estate in Chicago. There, he represented both retail landlords and tenants in Chicago and its suburbs. He worked with Chernin’s shoe stores on a national expansion, and helped US Cellular and Rosin Eyecare find corporate locations. Using his retail background, Mr. Karpik assisted Zale’s Corporation with a 17 store roll-out of a new, strip center format for the Chicago area. Michael worked with a host of other tenants and landlords in the Chicago market including: Quality Stores (disposition of 77 locations), Cash Stores, Clark Oil, Continental Furniture, H&R Block, Mail Boxes, Mail Boxes Etc, ORECK Corporate stores, Rosin Eyecare, Hair Cuttery, RMD Development and Lake West Properties. Michael Karpik is a retail authority that has been interviewed for and quoted in several national publications. He is a member of the ICSC (International Conference of Shopping Centers) and is a participating member in the Apparel Executive Forum .
