Vlad's previous mandates at Shawcor include Marketing Manager (Shawcor), Marketing and Sales Manager (Bredero Shaw FJS) and Marketing Manager - Protective and Weight Coatings (Bredero Shaw). Vlad served in the past as a Product Manager for Lafarge North America where he managed a USD 200 million cementitious products portfolio, as well as the development of strategic partnerships with utilities and steelmakers for the recycling of their by-products. He has successfully completed since 1998 multiple strategy, business development, consulting and marketing management mandates for leading multinational companies such as Lafarge, L'Oreal, Michelin, InBev in the construction, mining, manufacturing and consumer goods industries in Europe and North America. He holds an MBA degree (2005) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, an MA in International Business from ASE Bucharest, Romania, as well as other degrees from universities in Austria, France, Germany, Romania and the USA. He is an active business and technical writer and has been publishing technical articles and economic analyses since 1996 in English, German, Romanian and Russian.
