Seedrs is backed by star fund manager Neil Woodford, Augmentum Capital (which is wholly-backed by RIT Capital, the investment firm run by Lord Rothschild), Faber Ventures and over 1,000 of its own customers. Seedrs is authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. It was the first equity crowdfunding platform in the world to gain regulatory approval.

A focussed, high-energy and results-driven executive, Karen is COO at Moneybox, an award-winning Series C savings and investment app. Previously she was COO at Seedrs as it scaled from start-up to leading equity crowdfunding platform. Whilst at Seedrs she was also Director of the UK Crowdfunding Association, and was instrumental in lobbying for regulatory change and industry development. Karen is passionate about the potential for technology in financial services. A former-lawyer and an innovative thinker, she was on the founding Exec Co of the Disruptive GC Network and participates in various advisory boards for tech scale-up initiatives. Karen has been named in the GC Powerlist, one of the top women in fintech by Innovate Finance, UK in-house individual of the year in the Finance sector by Legal 500, and one of Brummell Magazines Inspirational Women City Innovators.
