Scotts is a global leader in the lawn care industry offering a wide variety of products including fertilizers, plant foods, mulches, grass seed & much more.

In an response to the growing demand by funders that social service agencies create a social enterprise to fund themselves, I developed a business to be a revenue stream for local food pantries. Food Pantries often do not have the time, money or skills to open a social enterprise, so I created one for them. Double Comfort was opened in July 2014, a restaurant serving fresh, southern fare using the best ingredients and donating proceeds to local food pantries. The Double Comfort Charitable Advisory Board was created to oversee operations and donations, and select partner pantries. From this has grown many fundraising events, and partnerships with the local food supply network. In it's first 18 months of operation, Double Comfort has donated money for over 60,000 meals. ~Have a Meal, Change the Worldl™~
