Nigel has over 30 years Financial Services experience. Currently a Senior Manager within the Individual Propositions team (Pensions & Investments) at Scottish Widows, following a 2½ year extended secondment to the Investment business within the UK Retail Bank division of Lloyds Banking Group where he developed and implemented strong customer centric product governance processes, successfully delivered new RDR compliant investment propositions, led Annual product reviews, managed issues under management including customer rectifications and was responsible for other risk management related activities on behalf of the broader team. Previously, Nigel established and implemented a number of new key processes and corporate pension’s proposition and servicing improvements that resulted in strong panel positions, increased win rates through key introducers and established and maintained breakthroughs with key Employee Benefit Consultancies. Prior to this Nigel was instrumental in the development of new pensions and investment sales within the Scottish Widows Intermediaries sales channel through generalist and pension specialist sales roles before moving into a role with national responsibility for supporting both generalist and specialist sales colleagues with a wide range of technical support, competitor & legislative insight including development of relationships with external fund managers as part of the launch of open architecture and multi-manager propositions. Nigel is self driven and highly motivated combining the values of the business with personal integrity and commitment. His drive for quality to deliver and exceed expectations, together with his extensive market, distribution and product knowledge and importantly his experience and focus on management of risk in an effective governance framework enable him to deliver successfully against customer and business expectations.
