Prior to retiring in August 2020, Jane was Chief Operating Officer, Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets Europe. In this role, Jane was responsible for strategically partnering with the European business lines to ensure that business strategies, plans and initiatives were developed and supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Jane was responsible for oversight of ~130 staff in seven support departments in London. Jane has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial services industry in the City of London and is a Chartered Management Accountant. Her experience compasses a number of roles in different financial institutions, including operations, trading, compliance and finance, and she has managed operations across London, India and the Middle East. Jane has held many senior management roles, including Executive Director of Scotiabank Europe plc and Chair of the Pension Trustee Board. She was registered as a Senior Manager with the PRA/FCA (SMF 24/ SMF 3) Jane also served as an Executive Director of the London Precious Metals Clearing Limited, serving as Vice Chair for a number of years.
