Rumpke offers single stream recycling solutions for homes and businesses in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. A mascot called Recycle Man stopped by our booth (pictured), but unfortunately Rumpke Recycling mascot Binny was not able to attend this year. Solid waste directors from across the state were in attendance and we had some great conversations about the solutions Rumpke could provide for them. As a Bronze Sponsor, Rumpke gave Cincinnati Red tickets fundraising silent auction. The IRC brings a variety of vendors and the opportunity to see the latest and greatest things in the industry from containers to e-waste solutions. Hello, my name is Randi Watkins. I’m an accounting major with a background of customer service experience. It has helped shape my focus in accounting. While in school, I had the opportunity to help with a volunteer tax assistance program, and I realized even accountants or departments in a company all have customers to deal with. Accounting is a lot like customer service, just with different “customers.” Looking at it this way, I can see how my strong work ethic, attention to detail, and accountability will translate to my new career. I’d like to take what I know, and apply these skills to an entry level accounting job to find out how the actual application relates to the real world.
