As an investor and corporate / business development professional, I specialize in driving strategic non-linear revenue growth opportunities and capital structure optimization for large and small tech businesses. My deal making experience extends to strategic partnerships, M&A, fund raising, and exits which have resulted in $2B+ in directly attributable outcomes for stakeholders. My track record spans sourcing and executing big deals for corporations and venture capital firms:+ 20 years of experience in building businesses (early stage ventures and portfolio companies)+ Co-founded 2 VC backed startups; led 15+ early stage equity investments with several exits, advisor to several early stage companies+ Envisioned and drove the largest technology M&A transaction of 2006 + Drove large strategic revenue deals in operating, entrepreneurial and Board engagement rolesMost recently, I led Corporate Development at ownCloud in Boston MA. Previously, I led deal sourcing, execution and active portfolio management for Fidelity's venture capital and growth equity funds with a focus on early stage enterprise software, security, payments, and financial technology. My investments spanned funds in the US, Europe and Asia with check sizes of up to ranging from $2M to $20M. Some of my active (unexited) investments include: PeerTransfer / Flywire (in crossborder payments with Spark Capital and QED) and MineralTree (b2b payments with .406Ventures and First Data). Other companies that I have been associated with include Netmagic Solutions (acquired by NTT), Manthan Systems (partial exit), Verid (acquired by EMC), and MindShift (acquired by Best Buy) among others. From 2004 to 2006, I led business development efforts at RSA's Data Security Division and drove the relationship that led to the $2.3B acquisition of RSA by EMC in June 2006 (largest tech deal that year).I am also an advisor to two seed funds: Kae Capital in Mumbai and Pillar.VC in Boston.
