Quizlet is growing! I'm looking for talented engineers across the stack - iOS, Android, web, API, back-end / databases, and data science. Check out the Quizlet Engineering blog (https://quizlet.com/blog/engineering) to get a sense of the wide range of cool stuff we're working on and out Jobs page for open positions: (https://quizlet.com/jobs) ---- I'm Vice President of Engineering at Quizlet, a mobile learning platform serving over 20 million adult and child learners worldwide, including 1 in 3 U.S. high schoolers. Previously I was the head of engineering at Flickr, where I built Flickr’s first mobile team and shipped the first free terabyte on the Internet. From 1997 through 2011 I served in engineering and leadership roles at several venture-backed startups including Airflash, Zero G Software, and Deem. I have management and technical experience developing large-scale consumer web & mobile products, going deep or broad as needed. I love to learn new markets, product areas, and technologies. Most of my experience has involved APIs, web services, search, social networking, photo, video and location-based applications, devops, and large scale back-end systems. I have over 15 years of experience building and developing teams in environments ranging from startups to very large Internet companies, building products for both consumers and business.
