In 2008 I joined the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) as an apprentice IT support technician. I spent 3 years with RIO, identifying and developing technology products and services for educational and social enterprise markets. In 2010 I was lucky enough to take part in the Global Fellowship programme, spending six weeks in Brazil where he got to grips with the impact of education, business and opportunity outside of the UK. Since 2011 I have been based in London and during this time I have worked in a variety of positions, firstly as a Sales manager for Crowdity.com, a group buying platform, going on to join ubiCabs, a fleet management platform, helping the company recruit more partners enabling them to scale their operation in a relatively short space of time.I later found myself at Markco Media as a Social Media exec helping them build their social media channels and during my time there I was lucky enough to secure investment from Markco Media Ventures, supported by Mark Pearson and his core team, in order to create Stamp.it. A loyalty solution for SMEs and independent retailers which eventually went on to be acquired by Shopwave, an iPad POS solution.After the acquisition I went on to join Quidco and their Product team as a Product Manager, a role which lends itself to my multifaceted skill set which I have been lucky enough to build on in my previous roles since being in London.
