Tony has managed numerous key initiatives including developing a commercial ISP infrastructure, DOCSIS deployments, carrier ethernet initiatives and managing serveral IPTV deployments including Microsoft Mediaroom 2.0. His past projects include managing Hargray’s IP core redesign and migration to an MPLS core, DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade and deploying fiber to the tower solutions. His current projects include developing an IPv6 migration strategy, deploying Mediaroom 2.0 on Cisco's UCS/Nexus blade infrastructure and managing a fiber overbuild of PRTC's serving area. He is also working to improve operational functions by standardizing installation and repair processes, streamlining network monitoring systems, conducting staffing and training assessments and reducing operating expenses through efficiency initiatives. His main areas of interest include Carrier Ethernet, designing converged carrier networks, DOCSIS, SIP, IPTV, MPLS and developing next-gen applications using open source platforms.
