As an outgoing person I’ve never had trouble meeting new people or starting conversations. In fact, my family often teases me that I’ve never met a stranger. That's probably due to the fact that in the past I've been a licensed counselor and am very good at listening to and encouraging people. That seems to bring out the connection that I find with most people I meet. Being able to listen to, encourage, and connect with people has assisted me in business as well as counseling. These are the skills that helped me to build a successful business and then sell it to a large public company. These same skills also serve me today as a Co-Founder of Pockitapp where I've worked with a variety of people, teams, and consultants to bring a new app to the marketplace. Working to develop, patent and launch a new app is challenging but because of my goal oriented nature I truly enjoy overcoming difficult challenges. It’s what keeps life interesting. I also strive to balance my work with family and fun time. I’m devoted to my wife of 27 years and my two amazing daughters, enjoy sports of all kinds (I completed the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon four minutes under my goal time!), and love to travel to new places and experience new things. I keep the counseling part of me alive by providing counseling services in my church and community, many of whom might otherwise be unable to afford it. It’s a way of helping people see the best in themselves and what they are capable of doing. My diverse background in business and counseling combined with my focus, drive, determination, persistence, empathy, and compassion give me a unique perspective to lead Pockit to success in today’s rapidly changing technology driven world.
