I am currently assisting in the management of a medium sized urban library. We provide services to a diverse community with a focus on access to technology and job skills resources as well as services for youth and a Seed Library. I am also a senior Young Adult Services librarian, helping to coordinate system-wide programs. I have designed programs for teens to give them skills and leadership experience to bridge them into the adult world. This includes leading active Teen Advisory Boards, both in my library branch and with the Tucson Festival of Books as well as coordinating teen volunteering and interning. I have also led media projects such as filming book trailers and conducting audio interviews with authors at the Tucson Festival of Books. I've also served on the committee for the Judy Goddard Author Award for Young Adult Literature.
