I am a member of the risk management committee of the Dutch Pension Federation and an advisor to a number of (international) networks in the program advisory committee. Prior to joining PGGM, I was a director (2008-2012) within the Financial Risk Management practice of Deloitte and Investment Management leader for Deloitte in the Netherlands. From 1998 to 2008 I was senior portfolio manager and head of the quantitative equity strategies team within ABN AMRO Asset Management overseeing the quantitative equity and index business. I was also a risk manager for ABN AMRO Asset Management Holding. I studied financial econometrics at the university of Groningen and I am a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2002. I am following the Continuing Education program of the CFA Institute since 2002 including the Harvard Investment Management Workshop.
