Over 15 years’ experience in several manufacturing environments. Passionate for problem solving, and continuous improvement. Selling myself is not my forte so here’re some things about me. Right to the point, I guess. 1)My drives: -My family. I know cheesy, but it is the truth. -My stubbornness. Collaborating with people. Solving problems. 2)My accomplishments: Working in small organizations has provided the chance to ‘wear’ several hats throughout my career so in no particular order, here are 3x examples: It’s been fun! -The architect: At PS I've had the unbelievable opportunity to design the manufacturing floor as it exists today. From concept to CAD drawings, to reviewing with stakeholders, to power requirements, to working with other team members, to construction supervision, all was such a fun project which took me outside of my comfort zone. -The Quality Manager: One of the perks of working in QA is having to collaborate with every team within an organization. At Persistent Systems, I had do just that when I was tasked with getting our ISO9001 cert updated from the -2008 to the -2015 version. This gave me the opportunity to learn, digest, and help further develop our sales, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, product development, and quality processes. Challenging but satisfying! -The Engineer: Back in my EE days, I was handed over an old packaging machine destined to be sold as scraps. I worked with a team of stubborn MEs and upgraded all broken parts, wrote new lines of code (PLC Latter Logic, but still code) and brought the machine back in service. We did such a good job that we ended up doing the same for a machine nearing its end of service life, in China! 3)Things I do to keep my mind fresh: -Having myopic sight (‘nearsighted’) since early childhood didn’t allow for the love of reading to develop within me but I do enjoy a good audio book. Last book I ‘heard’ was “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. -The ‘child’ in me has always enjoyed putting things together. The joy of completing a puzzle, or finishing a model toy can’t be beat by many things in life. -I’m not super outdoorsy but hiking an easy to moderate trail with friends in the woods of upstate NY is high in my list of things to do in Spring and Fall. -I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. 4)My recommendations for you: -Find what drives you and explode it. -Read (or listen to) a book from time to time. Never stop learning. -‘We’ is better than ‘I’. learn from others, teach to your strengths, be a leader. -Create winning habits!
