Pacific University, founded in 1849, is a nationally recognized university devoted to excellence in teaching and learning. It enrolls over 3,000 students in 36 fields of study at the undergraduate level and 12 graduate programs. The Berglund Center at Pacific University facilitates both theoretical discussion and practical action relating to the impact of the Internet upon individuals and their communities worldwide. It studies the effects of the Internet on the ways we work, communicate, teach, and learn. The Berglund Center for Internet Studies was endowed by a generous gift from Pacific University alumni Drs. Mary and James Berglund of La Jolla, California.

As a communication professional, I am dedicated to telling stories that amplify unheard voices, inspire hearts and minds, and incite action. I started my career as a newspaper journalist and grew into roles that put my community journalism approach to work in advocacy. I am a writer first, but I love diving into data and strategy to match the right story with the right audience for maximum impact.
