Otary is a Belgian knowledge centre for offshore wind energy that develops, finances, constructs and operates offshore wind parks in Belgian North Sea and possibly also abroad. Via the Otary group, eight Belgian offshore wind players share their experience and know-how in offshore wind energy. All partners are already involved in the development and operation of offshore wind. Otary will focus on the development and construction of 3 Belgian offshore wind projects Rentel, Seastar and Mermaid, which represent a total capacity of 800 MW and are to be constructed in the next few years. The 309 MW Rentel offshore wind project will be the first project to be developed and is currently under construction.
