I started my career as a chemist, with expertise in multivariate statistics, analytical chemistry, and polymer chemistry. In the mid 90's, I moved into doing IT and informatics for chemists and material scientists, and in 2006 I joined ORNL to work on IT and informatics for climate scientists and ecologists. In late 2010, I moved into the IT services division at ORNL, to lead the group responsible for desktop/laptop management, Active Directory, VPN, mobile devices, R&D server administration, and collaboration tools. In 2018, I returned to IT and informatics for climate scientists and ecologists. Areas of expertise: Architecture, data wrangling, identity and access management, cloud systems, analytics, project management (including agile methodologies), security architecture, and multivariate analysis.
