Artist, Photographer, Creative Director, Perfectionist. Those are just a few of the words used to describe Photonics’ president and founder who has recently retired after 32 years. Photonics Graphics Inc. Was a graphic design/business communications/web and mobile app development company specializing in corporate marketing, brand identities, brochures, e-business solutions, multimedia interactives, interface design, and web and app development. In addition to Photonics, Alan is also the past president of the Ohio Valley Chapter of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers: a national professional association of photographers with disciplines in advertising, editorial, corporate, and education), and has been an officer of and on the board of the Art Directors Club of Cincinnati. He has also served on the Advisory Board of Images*Images, a non-profit center for photography and is past president of one of the first commercial art users group in Cincinnati, the Digital Artists Working Group of Cincinnati. Alan is a Past President for his synagogue, Humanistic-based Congregation Beth Adam. He also serves on the boards of Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinati, JVS Career Services, and UC Hillel. An Eagle Boy Scout as a youth, Alan has been involved in Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scoutmaster, Venture Crew Advisor, Unit Commissioner, and serves as the Jewish representative of the Relationship Committee of the Dan Beard Council.
