The art of bringing of people together in thoughtful and meaningful ways is no easy feat, especially as demands and constraints on the environment continually evolve. Luckily for me, I've always loved a challenge. As a full time conference planner as my day job and M.P.S. graduate, Global Hospitality Leadership at Georgetown, I get to see first hand how we think we should bring people together to pass on knowledge and make connections, as well as how effective these ideas can be for adult learners from diverse backgrounds. These two hats have allowed me to satiate my thirst for learning while also applying new ideas in real time in my work. I am passionate about conferences and events. I believe in the power of learning from industry experts and peers not just in the classroom, but at conferences and events. I know that these types of gatherings can transform and move entire segments of industry forward. That's what I want to do every day when I wake up. I have a need to help spark change and new ideas without forgoing the heritage that got us to where we are. When I'm not at work, I'm likely scrapbooking my adventures, searching out trivia nights at a local brewery, or diving into a new book.
