The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) is an employer association providing information, services and advocacy for its member companies in order to build a more prosperous New Jersey.

Betty Jane Boros is an executive leader at the New Jersey Business and Industry Association where she works to support the President and the NJBIA team on strategic initiatives that reach across the Association. Betty provides high-level support through project management, formulation of policies and plans, strategy development and fostering collaboration among team members. In addition, Betty leads the membership, events, programs and partnership teams, as well as NJBIA’s Member Action Center. Betty is a graduate of Stockton University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science while working in a commercial environmental testing laboratory. Following a summer as a crew member of a commercial bottom and surface long-lining fishing vessel, she joined the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection where she would spend almost 28 years in various programs, working to improve the waters of the State. In that time she championed rule development, developed permits for dischargers, audited environmental laboratories and developed guidance for water and wastewater infrastructure management. She developed and implemented training modules, and compliance assistance on multiple environmental measurements, rules and policies.
