Next Games is an entertainment company that provides computer games.
Born in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle…. (it casts a long shadow) My love affair with games started in 1986 thanks to Clive Sinclair's ZX Spectrum, and has literally been my number one passion since. I understand that video games, like film, music and literature, is an art form, no question, and an art form that is still in the throws of youth, full of potential in ways that is hugely exciting for society. I combine my two passions in life and now work as an art director for Rovio Entertainment (Angry Birds, Bad Piggies). I’m proud to lead a talented team of artists and designers with whom I bring my enthusiasm for games into the studio every day. What makes a great and productive team? I believe it’s people who love and a have vested interest in the work that they are doing. Live to work, not the other way around. Creating and working with liked minded people, that have shared values, is very important me. My background is design and branding feeds strongly into my work today with the team. As an artist having great taste and a conceptual mind is where my strength lies. If you would like to chat why not tell me your top three favourites games of all time!? I would love to hear from you. Scott.
