Jan Wahlström is a business driven professional with comprehensive chemical process technology competence. His passion is to understand and unleash technology potential to create sustainable production and business value. This journey is backed up by 23 years of experience in the area of refinery, biorefinery and petrochemical industry, with 15 years within leadership and management in various positions. His broad range of technical expertise covers various chemical process technologies with design and engineering for all design phases from idea to project execution, including development of intellectual property right portfolios and business build-up. Possessing excellent leadership skills, Jan has successfully served in different global leading positions such as business area leadership, leadership of a 200 experts’ process technology competence center, and company leadership while being member of the management board. During his career, he has personally led several multimillion-euro technology license and project sales negotiations to success and held key manager positions in demanding up to one billion euro investment projects. In the area of internal business development he has led the build-up of company innovation process, product portfolio structure and technology marketing. In his current position Jan is heading the sales and business development of Neste proprietary licensed technologies and related technology services. The product portfolio and business has grown tremendously under his lead in collaboration with wonderful team members and experts.
