Albert Mu has been with Mitac since 2008. Mr. Mu holds the position of Vice President of Enterprise Business with the charter and mission to develop and provide system platform differentiations in Internet Portal Data Center, High Performance Computing, Storage, and Server Appliance segments. Prior to joining Mitac, Mr. Mu was the General Manager of Global Server Innovation Group (GSIG) at Intel. Mr. Mu led GSIG successfully developed several rack based server and storage system platforms optimized for world-class Internet Portal Data Centers’ requirements with innovative system architectures. Mr. Mu also instrumented several major design wins at Asia Pacific including Tencent (QQ.com), Baidu, and China Cache. Prior to joining Intel, Albert Mu held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Network, Storage, and Server Group (NSSG) at Promise Technologies, Inc. and the position of Vice President and Chief Technology Office at Wistron Corp. At Wistron, Mr. Mu established and led a new business unit (Storage & Communications Product Center) to achieve profitability at record time. Prior to joining Wistron, Mr. Mu was Vice President of Engineering and later Vice President of Local Access Product Development and Asia Pacific Product Marketing at Clarent Corporation, where he led the team to develop the industry first end-to-end VoIP solution in the local loop over any broadband media. Mr. Mu also instrumented several major wins at Asia Pacific carriers including NTT Communications, China Mobile, China Telecom, Hong Kong Telecom, and etc. Prior to joining Clarent, Mr. Mu was at Cisco and led two generations of Cisco 7500 router Viper development. One of the significant accomplishments during Cisco career was to develop the industry 1st POS OC3 for MCI deployment. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Mu was with HaL Computer and led the team to develop cross-bar switch with a high-speed proprietary interconnect for cc-NUMA computer system.
