As the President and CEO of Methanex, I’m very proud to lead our global team of over 1,300 employees. Throughout my close to 20-year career with the company, I’ve had the opportunity to visit all our global locations as well as live and work in Canada, US and Asia. This has given me many incredible experiences and helped me to gain insight into the local teams and cultures that make Methanex the great company it is today. We take pride in being the global leader in our industry as the largest producer and supplier of methanol to major international markets. Our unwavering focus on safety and reliability across our geographically diverse production sites and our extensive global supply chain - including our fully dedicated Waterfront Shipping Company - enables us to provide our customers with a reliable and secure supply of methanol anywhere in the world. We also recognize that methanol has a role to play in contributing to a more sustainable future. Methanol, as both a critical chemical building block and a cleaner burning fuel, is essential for everyday life, and we are actively exploring lower carbon pathways for methanol in support of the transition to a low-carbon economy.
