DJ is an Associate Vice President with over ten years of experience in consumer brands & lifestyle, music & entertainment, alcohol & spirits, food & beverage, fashion & retail and consumer technology. Prior to joining HL, DJ headed consumer and fashion teams at leading PR agencies, overseeing the development and execution of strategic global PR campaigns for Coca-Cola, Jose Cuervo, The FADER, Samuel Adams, BitTorrent, Converse, Kangol, Herschel Supply, Samuel Adams, Bushmills Irish Whiskey, Tincup Whiskey, G-Shock Watches and Will Leather Goods. In his eight years of experience, DJ has mastered the art of influencer relations, having spearheaded high impact influencer campaigns for Herschel Supply, 1800 Tequila and Jose Cuervo – connecting with over 1300 culturally relevant influencers in fashion, music, art, culture, entertainment, food and hospitality. DJ also oversaw the year-long global campaign of the 100th anniversary of the iconic Coca-Cola bottle, which featured artists collaborations, a series of global traveling art exhibits, advertising campaigns, celebrity partnerships and a global media launch event for over 100 countries at the Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta. DJ graduated from North Carolina State University with bachelor degrees in African American Studies and Public Relations. When he isn’t working, he’s busy exploring Brooklyn with his two high-spirited dogs, Mowgli and Earl – a Boston Terrier/Pug mix and Scottish Terrier.
